ALCON, 

Our weekly squadron meeting will take place from 0930-1230 at the Miami Executive Airport, Miami Dade Fire Rescue Air Station 24. Members must arrive no later than 0920. Anyone arriving past 0920 is considered late.  

Cadets who do not have a complete uniform must wear jeans, a belt, and a plain black shirt. You are required to carry your CAPID on your person at all times. All members must ensure they meet hair and grooming requirements as per CAPR 39-1 (Chapter 3). Members out of compliance will not be admitted into the meeting.  

Required materials for this meeting include: 

  • Hydration. 
  • Note-taking materials. 

In order to progress through the cadet program, you need to complete your promotion requirements. All information on completing promotions can be found on our Promotions Page. If you need to request an examination, it must be done through the Exam Request Form. 

PROSPECTIVE MEMBER CHECKLIST: 

  1. Attend 3 meetings. 
  2. Be at least 12 years old. 
  3. Be a U.S. Citizen (non-citizens must request a waiver). 
  4. Complete the Membership Application. 

NEW CADET (C/AB) CHECKLIST: 

  1. Complete your Achievement 1 requirements. 

Upon completing the requirements for Achievement 1, you will be emailed the Curry voucher to help pay for your uniforms. 

IN-FLIGHT (C/Amn+) CHECKLIST: 

  1. Order Your Uniforms. Utilize your Curry voucher, look through our squadron supplies, and order items on Vanguard to complete your ABU (Airman Battle Uniform) and Class B Blues (Short-Sleeved Service Uniform Shirt). See our Uniforms Page for more information.  
  2. Complete GES (General Emergency Services) in order to participate in Emergency Services training.   
  3. Complete ICUT (Introductory Communications User Training) in order to participate in Emergency Services training. 
  4. Complete AGH (Aircraft Ground Handling) to qualify for Orientation Flights.
